The Town of Halton Hills consists of two urban areas known as “Georgetown” and “Acton” as well as hamlets, historical landmarks and rural land. I was tasked with helping fulfil their tourism and economic development initiatives.
Digital Tool Kit Wireframe
I created a webpage wireframe to organize the content of the Digital Tool Kit’s properties in the early stages of designing it. The wireframe was designed in Adobe InDesign. Unfortunately, the actual webpage has yet to be created due to delays in launching the Digital Tool Kit.
Digital Tool Kit PDFs
The Digital Tool kit consists of three accessible PDFs full of resources and helpful hints for tourism businesses either looking to enter the industry or better their current tourism efforts.
Helson Gallery Video
I helped create the Helson Gallery Virtual Exhibition by capturing footage using a DSLR camera with a tripod and editing the footage in Adobe Premiere Pro. The video’s runtime was approximately 13 minutes. (Final Version: https://youtu.be/wTXfWIjwEI4)
Culinary Tourism Alliance
The Culinary Tourism Alliance (CTA) is a partner of the Town of Halton Hills. I had the opportunity to create content for their culinary passport and a webpage with the embedded passport, seasonal itineraries, and ads posted by CTA.
Social Media Posts
Throughout the work term, I managed their @visithaltonhills Instagram account by sharing posts and creating a content schedule where I promoted virtual events, local businesses, operator supports, and so on.
